FIVE GENERATIONS OF THE RIVERA FAMILY HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THEIR PASSION FOR BEER SINCE 1906.
After returning from Mexico at the end of the 19th century, José María Rivera Corral founded the “La Estrella de Galicia” factory in A Coruña in 1906. The factory, whose name is reminiscent of his company in Veracruz, “La Estrella de Oro”, produces chilled ice and beer. At that time, this beer was little consumed. Today it is one of the most famous lagers in Spain.
