The brewery in Holzkirchen looks back on a long tradition. We know, for example, that as early as 1605 the Tegernsee abbot granted the Holzkirchner Oberbräu brewing rights. With its brewing tradition of over 400 years, Holzkirchner Oberbräu is deeply rooted in the Bavarian Oberland. Connoisseurs and connoisseurs appreciate this brewery for its old Bavarian art of brewing. The mature and purely brewed beer specialties stand for the traditional way of life in the Bavarian Oberland.
With its mildly quaffable taste and fine effervescence, the traditional Oberbräu Hell simply meets the taste of the times. What’s more, each sip contains over 400 years of regional brewing expertise. Centuries of experience and craftsmanship ensure a fresh drinking experience with balanced aromas. And they go just as well with a snack as they do with a fish sandwich. Uncomplicated, honest and pleasantly tangy: Oberbräu Hell is the perfect refreshment at the end of the day or at a summer picnic with friends. Cheers!
With its origins at heart and the environment in mind, Oberbräu Hell also places great emphasis on sustainability. A new crate was specially developed for the Helle, which is made from 100 percent recycled granulate. In addition, Oberbräu Hell is switching to labels made entirely of recycled material in the course of 2022.
