The Rutte family has been distilling gin since 1750, now in its 8th generation, and officially registered the “Rutte” brand in 1872. With their extensive taste and botanical knowledge, passed down over generations and recorded in the original recipe books, they produce an exceptional gin. All handcrafted in DeKuyper’s micro-distillery in Dordrecht. The unique flavors through complex blends with extensive botanicals provide the refreshing liquid combined with savory notes. A true taste discovery.
Rutte Celery Gin is distilled from botanicals such as celery, juniper, coriander, angelica, orange peel and cardamom. Not the celery stalk, but the leaves are used to create this harmonious blend. Celery is not a new flavor for Rutte: very early on, the distillery’s records experiment with unusual botanicals, including celery. It is not a dominant flavor, but a spicy yet fresh element on the nose and palate.
On the palate, it is well integrated and blends with the cilantro. Try it in our Celery Gin and Tonic
