Founded in 1918, this distillery has been producing sake and liqueurs for over 100 years. In 1990, they began producing whiskey and created the Togouchi Blend. Since 2018, the new, larger SAKURADO distillery has been distilling using the double distillation process in the Arnold Holstein Hybrid Distillery on a production area of about 225 m².
The whiskies are matured in 361-meter-long train tunnels, at a constant high humidity, which deliberately slows down the maturation period.
Aged in 2 different casks: 3 years in Sherry casks and up to 9 years in Bourbon casks.
Neither chill-filtered nor coloured
Nose: Gourmet – Vanilla & chocolate cream, ripe apricots
Taste: Mellow – Vanilla cream & Smoky peat
