Wick is located in the very north of Scotland. A place characterized by an unpredictable climate, rugged cliffs, and seafaring people. All this lives on in the whiskies of the Pulteney distillery, which has been producing its maritime single malt Scotch whiskies here since 1826.
The spicy sea air, the strong surf and the rugged coastline give these whiskies structure and body. Spices, fruity flavors from around the world and a light caramel taste characterize these powerful whiskies, which tell a piece of seafaring history with every sip. The distinctive bottle shape is based on a typical potstill still.
Old Pulteney Flotilla matures for ten years in hand-selected first-fill ex-bourbon casks right by the sea. This bottling is destined exclusively for Western Europe.
Freshly ground spices open to notes of toffee and coconut. The finish is full-bodied with a warm, lingering aftertaste.
