The incredible story of Casa Gancia, creator of the 1st Italian sparkling wine in 1865, goes back many years. Since then, Gancia has experienced significant growth and innovation, proudly celebrating its 170th anniversary in 2020. Gancia’s historic wine cellars are known as underground cathedrals due to their unique architecture. Thanks to their beauty and importance, these cellars were designated a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2014 as part of the Langhe Roero and Monferrato landscape.
Asti & Moscato d’Asti
Moscato Bianco is the most intensely cultivated grape in Piedmont. Asti and Moscato d’Asti DOCG are produced in the southeastern region of Piedmont, where the concentration of hills provides ample space for planting vineyards.
Prosecco
Prosecco is made from Glera grapes, an indigenous grape variety from the Treviso area. Prosecco became a protected DOC area in 2009. Gancia
is one of the few wineries outside the DOC area that, thanks to its long
production tradition and its know-how in sparkling wine production, is allowed to carry out a second fermentation in house.
Pinot di Pinot
First vinified in 1980, it was the first sparkling wine in Italy to declare its origin. A leader in the single-vineyard segment, it has been the ideal companion for Italian conviviality for over 40 years.
With Pinot di Pinot, Gancia created a new “sparkling style” for the classic happy hour.
Cuvée
The Cuvée Asti 24 mesi and the Cuvée 36 mesi are made from only the best grapes and make special moments even more special.
