It is the influence of these scarce butts that give this expression of Writers\u2019 Tears its signature rich, ruby hue and hence the moniker \u2013 \u2018Red Head\u2019. The expression is distilled without chill filtering as nature intended. Bottled at 46% ABV.<\/p>\n<p>Nose \u2013 Orange peel, dried fruits and sherry plums.<br \/>\nTaste \u2013 Nutty Oloroso, spicy raisins and creamy oak.<br \/>\nFinish \u2013 A flourish of orange.
